As a serious runner and gym rat I spend 5 mornings a week dragging myself out of bed at 5:00am to hit the streets or Blink Fitness. During the day I’m a nutrition and food studies Masters student at NYU. So once the weekend rolls around all those sweaty hours have made me thirsty for my other passion…beer. Come along for the run as I train for my second Spartan Race during the dawn and wash down Brooklyn East IPAs at dusk. I’m in search of not only the perfect race, but also the perfect pint. From nutritious meals to beer dinners, gyms to brewhouses, tapouts to tapped kegs I’ll discover not only what my body can do, but what my body can drink and where’s the best place to do both.
So to The Beer Mile: where the fitness is on tap, drafts of nutrition are served, and the beer is always pouring.
Because no one said I had to quench my thirst with water.
